I’m Kiera Pasquale, Senior Sales Consultant here in Essex, and I thought I’d give you a little glimpse into what life is like in my shoes. A lot of people see the “For Sale” boards, the viewings, and the happy handover of keys — but there’s so much more that goes on behind the scenes.

The Best Bits

One of the things I love most about my role is the variety. One day I’ll be showing a first-time buyer around a flat in Chelmsford, the next I might be guiding a family through a countryside home in Maldon, or valuing a townhouse in Brentwood. No two days are ever the same, and that keeps it exciting.

The real highlight though? The people. Meeting clients, hearing their stories, and helping them through one of the biggest milestones in life is incredibly rewarding. Handing over the keys and seeing the smile on a buyer’s face never gets old — it’s the part of the job that makes all the hard work worth it.

The Tough Bits

Of course, it’s not always easy. Being in my position comes with its challenges:

  • My job isn’t a neat 9–5. Evening and weekend viewings are part of the deal. It's a job that never sleeps!

  • The Essex property market is competitive, so I always have to stay on my toes.

  • Sometimes sales fall through at the very last moment, which can be frustrating for everyone involved.

  • And yes, there are targets to hit, which can be stressful during slower periods.

Why I Do It

Despite the challenges, I wouldn’t swap what I do for anything. Every sale, every let, and every happy client reminds me why I chose this career. It’s about more than just bricks and mortar — it’s about people, stories, and those big life moments.

So, when you see me turning up with a smile (even after a long week), know that it’s genuine. Because despite the tough parts, being an estate agent in Essex is a job I’m proud of — and one that brings me joy every single day.
